New Practice Update

The practice is coming along well. Up to the stage of finishing off the plastering. I’ve now had to pick carpets, basins, taps etc so I know we’re nearing the final stages.
I have to say the practice is looking a treat. The gym is a great size and reception is looking good and bright. Considering I had only 4 walls left and 2 walls had to be rebuilt means there has been a lot of ground work going on. Here are a few snap shots I took this morning.

New Practice Update

Things are coming along slowly but surely. A few new changes to upstairs, as I added another room, has slowed the building progress. More walls came down and new ones have been rebuilt. Its all happening with lots of building workers there daily.

Work Experience Student

We hosted another work experience student this week from St Columbus college. Jasmine was a hit amongst all the children. Its great having another helper on hand. I’m sure Jasmine has been inspired to look at working with children in the future.

Kleen Screen

This is a product I have available at the practice. It cleans and protects your ipad / phone screens. Great for Grubby fingers marks over the screen.
I purchased one and it worked well on my devices. In fact it worked so well I’ve only had to use it once on each devise so far.
Cost $22.95 with cleaning cloth.

Nurlan Kaya our new receptionist and administration officer has now found her feet in the sea of information and protocols that have to be followed. I really don’t know how I did it all without her help. I do know that my days have reduced in time to a normal 8-10 hours now that I don’t have to do as much paper work.
We also have a new email address and its admin@paediatricphysiotherapycentre.com.
If anyone is wanting to email something to us regarding adult rehab that new email address is admin@physiotherapyrehabilitationservices.com

I also want to thank Sue Brooker, who was my account manager up until last week. Thanks Sue for all your help getting all the financial administration under control and doing a great job in handing over to Nurlan. I could not have kept up my physiotherapy work load over the last 3 years or so without your help. Your help has assisted my practice move along more than I could have imagined.

Work Experience Student

This week we hosted a new year 10 work experience student from Buckley Park SC. Her name is Pelin and she will spend and extra day this Wednesday with us. So nice to have a helping hand to do filing and washing down all those well loved toys.
We will be hosting another student towards the middle of this year and she is from another neighboring school, St Columbus Secondary college. Its a great way to encourage those students who are planning on a physiotherapy career to develop a love of working with children.

Buildings works underway

It was great to go past the new practice location and see full work in progress. I saw the crane placing the new steel beams and last week saw that the new foundations had been poured. All moving along swiftly. I’m just having fun buying new equipment to place in the gym, treadmill, Wii, basketball stand… I’ve yet to work out a pulley system to raise and lower the bolster swing that will attach to the ceiling, but I’m sure its been worked out before. Any ideas I’m happy to hear your thoughts.

Skeanie Long Socks

I have a new shipment of Skeanie long navy socks. They come in all sizes up to 10 years of age. These socks are great for ankle foot orthoses (AFOs). They stretch well and are long enough to fold over the top of the AFO. This is the last shipment of Skeanie socks as they are not making them any more.
