A child practicing our intensive therapy program in Victoria

Accelerate learning at Moore Intensive Therapy Studio. We all learn better when new practice everyday with a professional. At Moore Intensive Therapy Studio, we will help your child achieve their goals through daily sessions in a two week intensive program.

Intensive physiotherapy is a concept that promotes greater therapeutic effect using F.I.T.T (Frequency, Intensity, Type, Time), motor learning and neuroplasticity principles. By increasing the frequency of practice, intensive physiotherapy maximises skill acquisition and consolidation of learning. This can translate to improvements with gross motor skills and physical abilities which ultimately leads to goal achievements.

Intensive physiotherapy programs are individualised for each child’s condition and dictated by each child’s unique clinical needs. We will use goal directed therapy through hands on treatment, play and exercise. We will engage and motivate your child with the help of our dream studio: monkey bars, rock climbing wall, spider cage, supported treadmill walking, trampoline, Pilates reformer, flying fox and more!

A robust body of evidence exists supporting the benefits of intensive therapy compared to regular therapy [1]. Several studies have demonstrated significant differences in initial and final Gross Motor Function Measure-66 scores that were greater in the intensive therapy groups compared to the non-intensive therapy groups [2].

Literature also demonstrated improvements to gross motor function, participating in self-care activities and functional independence following a period of intensive goal-directed physiotherapy [3].
